I have been living in Calgary, Alberta, since five years ago. I originally came to do a postdoctoral scholarship for two years which was extended to three years, for finally deciding to stay longer in Canada due to the political and violent situation in my beloved country, Mexico.
I was originally a contemporary and folkloric professional ballerina, then became a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist in CDMX, a literary critic, then I was fortunate to become an academic professor, supervisor, and researcher in highly recognized university in Mexico City: Universidad de las Americas.
I was blessed with two wonderful children, which are my eyes and soul. Nina and Leo are my North, my motivation and my life. I am here because of them, and everything I do is to offer them the best Me.
Currently, I am proudly a non-registered social worker!
I am full of ideas and projects, and I hope to be a very ethical and innovator social worker. My dream is that the Faculty of Social Work will be proud of me as an alumni.
However, I am more than a practitioner…
I am a fiction novel passionate reader.
I love international and independent films. Yes, I am a film junkie!
… and as you can see in the pictures, a big fan of Wes Anderson.
Though I am a shy and introverted persona,
I hope that you approach me, give yourself the opportunity to know me more,
please, you can see me now not only as a colleague but as a Mexican amiga.
